Cornwall · CimentArt approved applicator
Seamless surfaces,
quietly extraordinary.
Hand-applied microcement floors, walls and bathrooms — installed seamlessly across Cornwall and the South West.

A studio of one
Built by a craftsman, not a contractor.
Cornwall Microcement is owned and personally applied by Jonathan Heywood — twenty years into a career spent on the buildings other trades step back from: listed cottages, glass-walled new builds, sea-facing renovations along the north Cornish coast.
Every project is mixed, trowelled and sealed by Jon himself. No subcontracted installers. No swap‑out crews. Just one set of hands answering for the work from first sample to final coat.
What we install
One material. Endless rooms.

Floors
Pour‑in‑place seamless floors over concrete, screed, timber and even existing tile.

Bathrooms & wet rooms
Fully waterproof CimentArt systems for showers, splashbacks, baths and basins.

Kitchens & worktops
Continuous worktops, islands and splashbacks with a deep, hand‑burnished sheen.

Walls & ceilings
Feature walls, fireplaces and full rooms in a quiet, hand‑trowelled mineral skin.

Hospitality & retail
Hotels, restaurants and boutiques. Hard‑wearing finishes that age beautifully.

The process
Six‑stage application over five to seven days. Every coat documented and photographed.

The material
Two millimetres deep.
A lifetime resilient.
Microcement is a polymer‑modified cement coating applied in micro‑thin layers over almost any sound substrate. Bonded with fibreglass mesh and sealed with two‑component polyurethanes, it delivers a continuous, fully waterproof surface — typically just 2 – 3 mm thick.
- Fully waterproof and steam‑safe — ideal for showers and wet rooms
- Apply over concrete, screed, tile, timber, plasterboard and most existing finishes
- No grout lines, no expansion joints, no visible seams
- Hand‑trowelled in 30+ colourways from the CimentArt palette
- Compatible with underfloor heating
